First I looked at St. Petersburg. I knew I had the right country at that point. Then I looked at Moscow....
Clues were: 1) Electrification=not likely north American 2) north shadows=northern hemisphere 3)Roundhouses (much more common in Eastern Europe nowadays) 4)blocky communist looking buildings/neighborhoods 5)big city 6)I knew that rivers run through both cities. 7)The walkways over the tracks...reminded me of one I saw in Riga.
Good find. The tracks through this city are like an ambitious, disjointed model RR design. Tracks going every which way, stub terminals here and there, through yards and industry scattered all over the place...very cool.
