Made a short "night" video showing off my yard lights.
Here is a link to the Z scale layout I built to run my Railex Saxonia set. It fits in a glass-topped cabinet. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xopnHFO43Dg&feature=player_detailpage Enjoy,
Tom, Very, very nice but EXPENSIVE! Exquisite models. Do you have any additional still photos? Lindley
Great videos David. The module with the double bridges at the 24 second mark appears to have a track independent of the main lines. I don't recall seeing this module before (ZoCal has so many it is hard to keep track of). Do you have any other photos or info about this module?
That's Gary Hoffman's module. He's been improving it every time I see it. The separate track had an auto-reverser, which was nice to have some action going when the main line was quiet on that part of the layout. -JamesTraction
Thanks James. Having the extra activity definitely keeps the crowds interested. Same idea as Lajos' Kronenberger module, one of my favorites! Gary if your listening, can you post some photos?
Got some video from someone who shot video at the January 2012 GTE show. He shot it with an ear camera. Low resolution but enjoyable. Left the sound alone so you hear what a train show sounds like. http://vimeo.com/36451895

Some videos I shot during my last visit at the US Z Lines headquarter. The first 2 videos were made with a lighter cam Trains meet Across the layout Intermodal Greetings Mattias
Here is a quick video of my MTL NS sd-40 and n&w geep. The n&w coal cars are WDW
Put this video up last night. Shot with a Looxcie portable (wearable actually) camera. Put it on an empty container car and pushed it around the ZoCal layout during the Big Train Show from Ontario, CA. It would not sit straight during this test. Watch for the great train wreck when a UP diesel falls over right in front of the camera car. Put some "interesting " music to it. Gives a great perspective of the Z Bend modules and the only thing ruining the view are the giants (I'm the worst offender - a ham!) looming over the train track. It is when you see the hand fixing the train wreck that you get the real idea of how small Z is. Otherwise the video looks like it could be any scale. We tried other ideas with the camera and I'm getting one of these cameras to make my own camera car.
Nice video David. I wonder if you can stream live video with that cam, or is it record only? Sent from my ADR6400L using Tapatalk 2
It can stream live I think. I know that Brian can see what the camera sees on his iPhone through the blu tooth connection. There is an Android App too. I'm going to try to make the camera into a U50 engine - nice flat nose - 83' long - maybe UP (okay Mike?)
I should have it functional by the Rancho Bernardo (Poway all Scales show) event on August 4,5. I could try a live broadcast.
I just ordered My Looxcie, and I ordered the Macro and Wide Angle lenses too. I also downloaded all 3 Looxcie apps for my Android, so I hope to have it for the National N Scale Convention and the Train Mountain Triennial 2012 Thanks for sharing David, I love it when someone comes up with a new toy!
