Finally figured out who had sent me the photos, and re-established contact. He did confirm it was March of last year. Sheesh. Seems like a million years ago already. I'm confusing myself!
Saw this bridge over the Musselshell twixt Ryegate and Cushman, MT last April. Sad to see, but wow! They did build to last!
Must have been damaged during that flooding a few years ago. I believe the depot in Roundup got wet. Any ideas how that is holding up these days?
Naw, don't remember driving by it last year. Will have to make a point of doing so this year after the Helena railfair. View attachment 69719 Did get good pics of the depot at White Sulphur and spent time soaking in the hot Springs there. Aaaaaaah!
I'd like to get through WSS&YP country this summer. It's been a billion years since I was last in that vicinity. Hoping fuel prices stay down!
That bridge on the Musselshell has been like that since at least 2006. I thought I had a photo of it but I guess I don't.
On a happier 'ghost' note, the Harlowton depot museum is a fine shape! And they have plans to fix up the remaining part of the Roundhouse so guests may go in!
I wish they could lay some tracks by the depot. Then a long extension cord to run the X3800 back and forth. Is it still there?
So I found these photos from April 2014. The wind was icy and HOWLING this day, so didn't get to spend as much time browsing as I had wanted, but maybe this year! First is the x3800 And then the gon-plow And I think this is the Roundup depot, it is now a highway dept building. Enjoy!!!
Didn't I read somewhere they'd done some restoration to that push plow? That does look like Roundup's depot.
Yes that bridge went down several years ago during the flood. This was taken in 2013 They have laid track in front of the depot (2014)
