It's one of 2 that are for active service in Cheyenne... The other one is on the ready track, ready to go if the call comes. Last year they had it ready, and they never got a call, so they hope for the same this year.
I have quite a few McCloud River snowplow shots on McCloud Rails...here are some links: http://www.trainweb.org/mccloudrails/Equipment/MCR1837.html http://www.trainweb.org/mccloudrails/Equipment/MCR1850.html http://www.trainweb.org/mccloudrails/Equipment/MR1773.html http://www.trainweb.org/mccloudrails/Equipment/MCR1767.html http://www.trainweb.org/mccloudrails/Equipment/BuckerFlangers.html http://www.trainweb.org/mccloudrails/Miscellaneous/Winter92-93.html http://www.trainweb.org/mccloudrails/Miscellaneous/SnowRemoval.html http://www.trainweb.org/mccloudrails/Miscellaneous/RotaryPlows.html http://www.trainweb.org/mccloudrails/HeritageJunction/RRWinter.html http://www.trainweb.org/mccloudrails/HeritageJunction/Wrecked1850.html Jeff Moore Elko, NV

I've always wanted to see a plow like this in action. Even seen some video footage? Speaking of video, it's about time to plug in "Snow On The Run" again. Boxcab E50
Actually, it's time for "Battle for Donner Pass"!! Flangers, derailed Jordan Spreader and Rotary plows! And 75 minutes of extreme action!
Battle for Donner Pass Video Rails/Pentrex 1993 Box states 60 minutes. Added slip inside box says because they got more good video than expected, they addded 15 minutes more for same cost. One of the BEST videos I have in my video collection!! One that's been watched MORE than any other video!!
This past Sunday, there was a show on tv. About when the City Of San Francisco train was stranded in the snow on Donner Pass. Can't think of which channel. Maybe that will be repeated again. It used footage seen in the "Snow On The Run" video. Boxcab E50
Kind wild watching a crane a 2 dozers pulling the train out of the snow, two cars at a time! Think I have the Diesel version of that video. Gotta check.
Here's another C&T rotary in Chama. The one that Russ posted is the one sitting behind this one. Regards Ed
Agreed. A spectacular vid, and beautiful footage. The only more watched DVD I have is on the Moffat Route--Gee, whodaguessed?
Here's that other rotary Hemi alluded to as being in Cheyenne- matter of fact, it's been sitting in the roundhouse all summer. In this pic, it's in front of the steam shop, having been spotted by the steamshop's yard goat.
