    Martyn,
Most interesting thing I see in that picture is the Cantilever signal bridge! Who made that ? What brand I mean.... I'm going to need a few to model the B&O, only with CPL"Color Position Lights" faces on them. And a spot signal above the CPL faces. And then to install LEDs to light them! :D

I think it's by Oregon Rail Supply, they list it as a UP/DRGW gantry, but it is identical to the B&O(or C&O? the one that parrallels the N&W) gantries at Marion OH as far as I can tell (even to the shape of the concrete base!)

http://www.walthers.com/exec/productinfo/538-99 is the one we used I'm fairly sure.

It's a plastic kit, so fairly easy to build, but fragile if you knock it hard :(

Interestingly they list a C&O one, which looks the same except for the heads
    http://www.walthers.com/exec/productinfo/538-101
And they make B&O style heads as well
    http://www.walthers.com/exec/productinfo/538-106

We basically cross-kitted to get some non-railroad-specific western searchlights on them, so they wouldn't look too out of place with any western power from late steam up to the present.

    Hope that helps. [IMG]

Nice looking, well-done scenery. I like the tank farm, especially the fence ... I assume it was handbuilt ... ? [IMG]

P.S. Glad your photo posting experiment worked. [IMG]

Thanks Hank, the fence was mostly from kits by a company here in the UK called Ratio Plastic Models, it's plastic posts representing the square concrete style with angled bits on top for barbed wire. The chain link is (I think) nylon(?) wedding veil materiel which you need to cut into strips & attach to the back of the posts. There's a lot of fencing around that facility (keeps the 1/87th terrorists out :D ) and it was a project that made me go [IMG] more than a couple of times.

Next time the layout is up i'll do some more pics of that area, i'm quite proud of how it's turned out, there is quite a bit more to the complex off to the right.

Just a thought, I only posted this pic to test it, can this thread be moved out into the forums as it seems to have grown a little

Martyn, the layout is HO, right? I see no reason why it should not be in that forum. Want it moved there?

Sounds good to me Alan. [IMG] I hadn't expected any useful info to come out of the thread & it has, so we may as well share it :D
