After lots of hours searching, looking through the vast wilderness I can honestly say that I still haven't found it. I'm sitting here wondering, is it hiding in plain sight? Could it be in Hemi's or Darren's "backyard"? Was LADiver throwing out a GOOD clue by telling us to look in Coquihalla Canyon area in BC? Or was he just trying to thwart our advances so he could find it himself??
I'm not quite sure yet what the answers will be to my many questions, but rest assured, one of these days I will find out.

Damn....I mean darn it :) Good job!!! I wasn't even close to there. I don't think I honestly would've found it at all.

Congrats! Colorado Midland was a SG line; from Colorado Springs to Glenwood Springs. One of the clues might have been that this tunnel was bypassed by a lower in elevation and much longer tunnel, (~9,000 feet) the Busk-Ivanhoe Tunnel.
Welcome to 11,528 feet! The only place winter was harder on a railroad was the imfamous Hill Line--DNW&P's Rollins Pass.

    Here's both tunnels....

What a place to railfan--too bad it disappeared 90 years ago... 4% in both directions....
