    Very interesting track alignment--what is the reason for this? It seems there's room enough to turn only one loco. It also seems that there used to be more track, and this used to be an interchange...

    It's in Sardinia--don't know the town (I think it's Carbonia,) but the coordinates are 39°10'2.57"N, 8°30'40.99"E.

    I might do some more research on this, but apparently there are only three of this type of turning track still in existence, all in Italy. I don't know the reason why (I didn't translate the rest of the German websites that led me to this location.)
