Wow.........Two days and counting. No interest, it seems. But, that's only MY opinion. And it ain't worth much! :tb-biggrin: I'm disqualified for this one, so I can't play. My suggestion!
Very interesting track alignment--what is the reason for this? It seems there's room enough to turn only one loco. It also seems that there used to be more track, and this used to be an interchange...
It's in Sardinia--don't know the town (I think it's Carbonia,) but the coordinates are 39°10'2.57"N, 8°30'40.99"E.
And here's a direct link if you're using Google Maps: Google Maps So why would they build something so complicated? Is it just not enough space to build a proper wye?
I might do some more research on this, but apparently there are only three of this type of turning track still in existence, all in Italy. I don't know the reason why (I didn't translate the rest of the German websites that led me to this location.)
