Just a quick reminder, Galesburg RR Days is fast coming, June 23 & 24th. As any BNSF fan knows, this is a great show to see some BNSF equipment. You can read more at my Blog here: http://www.trainboard.com/grapevine/blogs/viewblog.php?userid=124 The Galesburg Model Train Show is expecting as many as 200 or more vendors. I don't have any details on a Trainboard meet up but I may organize one if there is intrest. Jim
SIGH....I have been wanting to go to this since I first heard about it back in 2000. Someday.......someday.
Not to worry! You'll get there someday. There is PLENTY of railroading in Galesburg for everyone, railfan AND railroader. Do you check the Galesburg web-cam often? CT
We will be there and are recruiting for assistance in setup and load out. Get paid, get admission to the show and see the newest stuff first! Let us know direct if possibly available. Setup is Friday afternoon-evening. Packout after the show Sunday.
George, great to see you made it in alright! Tina and I plan on leaving Champaign around 5:00 and getting into Galesburg around 7:00. I talked to Harry the other night and we plan to stop by the college to set up my display. I'll be adding pics to my Blog, and looking for a good deal on a Digitrax Zephyr. Jim
Soggy Galesburg Looks like Galesburg will be a bit soggy this weekend. That could mean good attendece for vendors. Nothing better than a good day inside browsing for your wish list of train stuff you can't afford! Jealous I couldn't be there, Tim
Ah you can sneek away from the wife on Saturday afternoon Tina and I are on our way, the Railfan Jeep is about all packed. Hope to see some of you there! Jim
Wife wasn't my problem she said if your going don't plan on me going along. It's this work thing:angry: that takes up all my saturdays.
And the last........for now:yes9rq: Ok that is all, I'll be at the show and downtown (hopefully the weather clears up:angry and you'll know it is me cause I'll be wearing the "Gone but not forgotten" CB&Q GP30 shirt and yeah I'm bald! So if you see me, stop me and introduce yourself. I'm on my way to get more pictures. Jim
Jim, Tina & Bill: Thanks for all your help getting loaded out. We are in our motel to grab about 6 hrs of shuteye before the long drive back to the shop. You all were Godsends tonight. We also would not have been anywhere near as ready to open Saturday morning w/o Dave's assistance.
