    Group,

My neighbor has a G scale trolley that runs back and forth point to point with automatic reversing capabilities in the bumpers at each end. He sets it up for Christmas Time. His power pack quit and I'm wondering if a small HO scale power pack would be sufficient to run his trolley so he doesn't have to go out and buy a new one?

    Thanks in advance,

    HO HO HO Power supply

You will need about two amps plus abit more for carlighting. Some HO units are quite powerfull and can put out two to four amps, as most HO layouts get bigger they need it.

Check how warm it gets after an hours use.

    Pete,

Thanks so much. We'll try that tomorrow.

I used an old HO pack for a trolley back and forth on my fence and it worked fine for hours with no problems.
