Mike -- Subject: RPM Naperville 17th annual Meet October 21-23, 2010 By now you have probably heard that earlier this year Martin Lofton announced plans to retire as long-time organizer of the annual Sunshine Prototype Modelers Meet held every year in Naperville, Illinois. Since then, I have reached an agreement with Martin to have Railroad Prototype Modelers (RPM) assume responsibility for the continued operation of this popular annual prototype modeling meet, which is well underway and on schedule. Unfortunately, the best laid plans often have wrinkles and one that you may have noticed if you've attended this meet in the past is that you probably haven't received anything in the mail about it yet. In an attempt to make the transition as seamless as possible, Martin agreed to send the mailing for this year's meet to his list of previous attendees. Unfortunately, technical problems with his computer and printer have delayed this from happening thus far so I'm reaching out to the prototype modeling community to ask you to contact me to insure you receive information and registration forms for this meet before it's booked up completely. Please go to the RPM web site and enter your name and E-mail address so we can keep you informed of developments and updates regarding this meet. RPM Naperville - Oct 21 - 24, 2010 I want to reassure everyone that I have complete control of the meet and everything is moving full steam ahead! We have a full slate of clinicians in place, vendors have been notified and tables are being sold, and rooms are filling up fast at the Holiday Inn. The display room is being expanded for more Free-Mo modules and more room for model displays. We are also expecting product displays from Athearn, Walthers, BLMA, Rapido, Atlas, Intermountain, Tangent, and many others. The basic format of the show will remain the same as in years past, just with more of what you want. Hope to see you all there in October. Thanks!
