I coulda, shoulda, woulda listened when designing this thing. Here's the track is being glued back down because I used the W brand subroadbed foam stuff. Acrylic caulk doe not secure it, and I didn't nail it down either. Now, it is just too late to get in there. So, when it dries, trains can go full circle again.
I guess I am just having too much fun driving trains around! I do still need to do a cleaning, and some more cleaning, and fix some bugs that showed up in the trackwork. And, ...the list is long. But, for now, I think I will just drive trains and get ready for the next train show in Livingston/Helena!
Didn't do anything today except run trains and clean house. It's been a while since a good sweeping and such.......
Nothing special today. Ran hard all week and am packed and ready to go to the Livingston/Helena Railfair weekend! Yay! So, I got the 2-8-8-2 running 'ok.' after it's long sitting break, And the video, Then I was able to grab a couple of shots of the Daylight , Wonder what them fellas are saying?
Just another run by. I did recieve some ME code 55 flex track. And I ordered an NP loco to pull this train instead of the 844,
And today, as I ran the GN around, I commenced to doing some cleaning and organizing of the wreckage and chaos that is the Trainshed currently. These are before I started, And that got me to pondering things about several problematic areas on the layout, which is a scary and dangerous thought.....
My room, though much smaller, was as much of a mess when I had to move out in '10. Most of my 11 brothers came to help move me out while I was in the hospital. After that there was much less "clutter". Perhaps you should get some buddies to help as well. It works.
It's a bit better, still a ways to go, and I will put up pics after that is 'done.' Three of my kids are working for me now, and I think I will just keep after the re-organizing myself. They have been 're-organizing' my tools and supplies for a few months now, and calls to them for'where did you put.....?' are constant!! So, in an effort to know where stuff is...I will just plug away.
And as a morning 'How do you do?' I ran the PRR 5506 after digging it out of a dead siding in staging. A pacing shot at speed, Followed by the video, And I believe my dispatching skills are a going to need some improvement!
Got out early today to move a trailer house as it was the only window of dry opportunity. Needing a bit of relaxation after that, ran a couple of freights. The fast fruit has four of my new reefers at the head end of the train. The 2511 later in the video, is having pickup issues. The engine is not conducting power to the DCC. May be needing cleaned or soldering work. Also have found several switches needing some solder work, which I may video....
