H31 was 1'1" longer and had horizontal shaft "power" brake (as opposed to vertical shaft on GLa), otherwise they were pretty identical. 1'1" in Z is .059" - I don't think we are going to loose sleep over it, when it comes to overall length of a car? :teeth: Chris

When I'm concerned about it, I run MS word in the background and use its spell check on questionable words. Dan S.
Robert, no real performance enhancing upgrades. Added a wee bit of weight under the leading truck, and added a cast pewter tank to the pilot (HO scale detail part that worked almost perfectly as Z scale Pennsy reservoir). Sorry, no better pictures on this computer. Dan S.

There is one major problem with this release, not enough of them made, i have missed out on the only RR i collect in Z and am looking at redecorating if i want some, Bummer. Eliot
Yeah, manufacturers should know by now, that the first release should always be accompanied by undecs, so guys like me don't have to snap up stuff to repaint. I learned my lesson years ago, to buy now or forever hold my peace, because many many times something gets sold out or the run booked solid in the first day, and never get run again. Especially with smaller manufacturers. Other times something happens and it can be many months till the next roadname is released. Look at the AZl SD70 for example, it's been 6 months since a release. Same with the GP35 decoders... How long will it really be till another run shows up on shelves.
digitrax dealers have been told 3 weeks until the next decoder run is delivered -- but who really knows. i'll tell you what, though, "gadget tom" gets a huge order every time. he's a BIG distributor, apparantly. he got 20 of the DZ123M0 and hadn't even had a call for one (was just unpacking them) when i called. fyi dave f.
