Local railfan Ken Good died this past Monday. He was a US Forest Service employee. While enroute to a work site, the plane on which he was a passenger crashed. Investigation is ongoing. All aboard were lost. Ken was a regular at WinterRail, and other similar events. A fan of BN, BNSF, and MRL. Well known in the Pacific NW. Some of his photos had been published in railfan magazines. Yes. I knew him. Nice guy. Boxcab E50
I saw on the news last night that two people WALKED out from this crash, alive! I didn't catch the names, but it was a woman and a younger looking guy with 25% burns. Anyone catch this? Same wreck?
Yes. Original "reporting" by the "news" media, has proved once again just what a useless fraud they are today. Imagine the effect of this upon family members. Also, the site they are now reporting seems to be on a different mountain. There were apparently a couple of survivors. And media is crediting their physical condition to be a factor in surviving. Well, Ken was a big, healthy man! So I doubt their attributing. It was more likely pure luck and lesser injury. You'll never see it worded that way. Still, he's gone. That's what I know. He'd probably have been out chasing those AAPRCO trains this week. Boxcab E50
Ken, amen on the "news" media. All they are today is another branch of show business. Watch them interview people. How obnoxious they are.
Ken Did make it out but died it was so sad I knew him from another Board. My Thoughts and prayers are with his family AmtrakFan
