A pile of limestone rocks on the highrail of a curve near Osage Hills Mo. derailed Frisco 1511, killing 6 & injury to 70+. These photographs are from the J. R. Eike Album from my personal collection. That's quite a crowd. Sad that such an occasion would draw such interest. How did those rocks get on that track? Doesn't seem to be any really obvious source in the photos? Boxcab E50

"Train wreckers". That's horrible. I wonder if anyone was ever caught? Was there any ongoing labor strife at that time? Back then courts would not have been as soft-hearted as they are today. Whoever did it, would have been done away with, as it should be. Boxcab E50
