Here is the overall photo of my doorpanel layout. Since this photo was taken I have added a small staging ard that extends off the upper left. I also changed the crossover in the upper right from a right-handed crossover to a lefthanded crossover. If you look carefully, you can see the photo-shoped area of the "art" that my wife put on there that had to be covered. Eric
Eric, how did you run your wires? Drill through the foam and door? Also, what kind of track did you use?
Don, I couldn't find a drill bit that was long and small enough for wires so I used an ice pick and a small brass tube. I first pushed the ice pick through the foam and the door. I then put the wire into the end of a brass tube and pushed the tube through the holes that the ice pick made. I first tried just pushing the wire through but I had difficulty getting it through the second door skin. The track is Atlas 55. Eric
With your crossover change, you now have two left hand crossovers? This is going to be a nice layout!
Well at least she is involved, um or is she jealous of your time? Looks nice. Lots of running room and scenery room
Eric that looks great! how is the trackwork running for you? I can already see the expansion potential off the back curve onto another door panel with a return loop. Is it very heavy if you have to move it? You've convinced me about doing the doorpanel layout. I am still waffle-ing between the C55 I already have, and purchasing Kato unitrack, but door panel for sure.
