SP/SSW For Colonel, speaking of the whole train...

    Sorry if this shot has been posted before....pic taken in the Soledad Canyon area (on the former SP Saugus Line, now Metrolink Valley Sub line) north of Los Angeles, of a north bound (RR west) UP "K" train, winding its way up the canyon...shot taken last month.

    Thanks for the pic, wow thats some consist behind those loco's . The reverse S makes for an excellent train with the intermodal consist snaking its way around

    Interesting contrast of scenery. Bright green, (stream in there somewhere?), on one side. The brown rocky cliff on the other. Makes quite a photo setting.
