How does Fleischmann compare to the new releases from TRIX that have Faulhaber brushless motors with flywheel drive? Does the Fleischmann have any of these features? I was looking at the 2-8-0 by TRIX, and the 4-6-2 by TRIX. Also, does anyone know if the 2-10-0 T12223 Freight Locomotive with Tender by Trix can make it around 9 3/4 inch turns? Thanks They are found on this page

I am basically trying to stick with modern UP diesels and cars, but would like a steamer to run around as well. I have narrowed my decision down to these 4 locos. The Con-Cor S2 4-8-4 northern
, the Rivarossi 2-8-2 Mikado the Trix T12223 Freight Locomotive with Tender
or the T12120 Freight Locomotive with Tender

If you really want the TRIX 12223 you better break out your credit card right away and start hunting. That was special edition one-time production for the 2001 model year and they were delivered to dealers about four months ago. We sold out of ours immediately so these may be very difficult to find.

Here is a site that describes and compares a lot of N-scale locos. It hasn't been updated for a long time, but for older stuff it can be pretty useful.

Thanks. I have checked that site for many reviews, but he didn't review any of theTrix or Fleischmann products except for the older American prototype Trix products which are no longer in production

Well, the limited model is quite pricey, and I didn't realize how limited it was. Are the 2-8-0 models still easy to find, and will they be for at least the next month or so? Also have you gotten in any of the new Bachmann 2-8-0 models yet? They are much more affordable to say the least.

I think that www.reynaulds.com has them in stock though (the limited Trix)

The 2-8-0's have not been released yet. None of our distributors have them. I think someone has some wrong information.

Sorry to be confusing, I was asking if the Minitrix 2-8-0 models 12120 G 4/5 are still available.

I was also asking if the Bachmann 2-8-0s were released.
