I was watching TV in my bedroom last night and i wasn't really paying attention to the commercials, when all of a sudden you would never guess what I saw ....... I actually saw a commercial for the CSX Railroad. I about fell over from shock. I haven't seen a railroad commercial in years...:tb-wink::thumbs_up:
CSX ad in Texas??? I'm surprised it was not a BNSF or UP ad. There seems to be a national champaign with the railroads in what ever area being in the ads. I was visiting a friend in the Fort Worth area a saw the BNSF ad. In PA it was a NS ad. Here in KY the only ones I have seen is CSX. The every one that I have seen has the same theme, the amount of freight (tons), distance traveled and 1 gallon of fuel. Gary
A few years back I seen a BNSF commercial about moving lumber on the weather channel at about 2 in the morning, showed some dash 9's lugging some loaded lumber cars across a bridge near Glacier. Maybe it was Medicine Hat or something (I hope I didn't mess up the name).
I have Dish so I'm not real sure what channel I was watching , but it just surprised me. I even made mention of it to my wife.
See CSX ads all the time and a fair number of NS ads. Both say they're the 'future of transportation'. Can't say I've seen any UP or BNSF commercials. For a while, Glen Beck's TV show had a segment sponsored by CSX.
