The final Z scale model of a 60' LPG "Whale Belly" tank car is entering production, and is scheduled for release with its associated etched stainless steel details for the 15th of December. We have made three adjustments to the prototype as a compromise; 1. The end platform supports required partial "lifting" to allow some coupler mounted trucks to clear and rotate freely. 2. A centered beam is added to the walkway supports adding surface area for better adhesion to glued walkways. . 3. We enlarged the braking components by 12.5% to insure their visibilty. We will add a buy now button to our website next week so that you may purchase this item. We have lowered the pricing; 1. Kits (body and etched details) are now @ $45.00, but the purchase of three (3) kits as one item remains at $99.00. 2. A finished model with decals and roller bearing MTL trucks has been reduced to $60.00. But delivery for finished models will begin in January, '07.
