I guess this guy thought 911 could get the train to stop. That or he just doesn't have commen sence. http://video.ap.org/?f=KSTOP&pid=tuqbUCHnb4NyAfn87_6uM2QCKz2aSFct
OK That doesn't seem to be the case. Sounds more like the guy took a bad turn and ended up on the tracks. Maybe he was drunk? 2nd, I swear that is Corvette C-6, not a ferrari in the photos.
From the KXII-TV website: SHERMAN, TX ― Police responded to a bizarre accident early Wednesday morning in Sherman involving a train and a Ferrari, and a very lost and intoxicated driver. First News obtained the 911 call made from the scene early Wednesday morning. Police say around 3:30 a.m. an intoxicated driver managed to get his 2000 Ferrari stuck on a set of railroad tracks on Howe Drive in south Sherman. The driver, Jeff Sabold, 48, called authorities for help. They told him to get out of the car shortly before the train he told them he saw approaching slammed into his vehicle. The car was a total loss. Police say low ground clearance may have been what caused the car to get stuck. "This is a good example of why people should not operate a vehicle while driving intoxicated. Your judgment is impaired, you not only put yourself in danger, but you put everyone who is in reach of your vehicle in danger to include trains," Sgt. Bruce Dawsey of the Sherman Police Department said. No one was injured. Sabold was arrested for driving while intoxicated. Additional charges are pending. This happened south of Sherman. The scary thing was that he thought he was in Mansfield, TX, which is nowhere near Sherman. Which meant, of course, he was driving in an intoxicated state all the way from his custom car business in the Dallas area (just 50 miles south) , and how he managed not to hit anybody the Lord only knows. The 911 call was also broadcast on KXII as well, and to listen to it, this guy was really hammered.
Hopefully it was his car and not a customers. I bet he wishes he would of just stayed where he was now. How would you explain this to your insurance companie or the owner,If the car belong to a customer? Thankfully no one was hurt is all that really matters though. This is one of those videos we will problly see on worlds dumbes drivers.
Gotta Love this! Gotta Love idiots Like this... "Oh, Im getting out now!" Good thing he lived though...
No, it was his car he was driving, although he does work on other peoples' cars (and I'm not talking Fords or Chevys here).
