To improve the next running of the bulls, I like to ask for feedback on the "layout design party" I host, the last one being "High Balling your Layout." The participation wasn't as active as the first time I ran this thread. Now that I have had some "hindsight time," I'm speculating that I ran it to early in the fall.

Activity here and at the Atlas forum definitely didn't pick up until mid-October, then it seemed to move briskly almost over night. So when running this one next year, I think I will start it mid-October.

One of the purposes is to help motivate me as I commit to a public goal. I still haven't achieved what I set out to achieve, but now I am about 2/3's of the way there, and the worst is over.

Any other feedback? How did folks find th 6 week time frame - it used to be 8 weeks.

I definately agree with moving it back a month or so. I really didn't even get started untill the last week and have got more done since than during.

So when is the next one going to be? I'm all ready for that one now. [IMG]

    Paul,
I'm to lazy to check when the first one started, but I do recall it going into late spring. (I just checked and the first one started around 28 March) Then I ran into the reverse problem, everyone jumped on board, worked hard, then quit after about the 5th week in an 8 week commitment. That is why I cut this one back to 6 weeks. But 6 weeks seems to be a good block of time.

I am thinking of starting the next one around the beginning of the last week of February, taking us into mid-march.

If I did too many of them, they would lose the special feel they have.

This is a test post to see if my flag has changed.
