Good question...The ones that first come to mind are Geroge Selios'(sp) Franklin & South Manchester, Tony K's Allegheny Midland and Allen McLleland's V&O in HO and The Reid Bros' Cumberland Valley in N.

Pelle... Where have I seen his work published??
I am not an eastern prototype guy, but Scott's NS is likely worth seeing. I hope to someday...

    Chuck,
You the guy whose layout pics are usually in the Walther's catalog?
    You have a track plan?

Allan McLelland and his railroad, which I always confuse with Tony Koester's railroad, was my hero. I must have looked at his track plan a thousand times in building my first layouts.

Yes, its me. For $25 per photo used and a free catalog, its a nice way to get some extra train money. Sorry, no track plan on paper yet, just sort of winging it thus far on the layout expansion. I will need to put pencil to paper for the next phase though as its a little more involved than what I've done to this point.

I agree 100%! I actually admired Jim's work before I realized it, seeing a couple of articles in N Scale Magazine that I never really noticed he authored, but the scenes stood out.

His work with, I believe, Mt Rainier N Scale N Trak is topnotch, and of course is current layout and articles. I can't say enough about his work.

One other pair I'd like to mention are the Onyx Division's Pete Lewis and Walt Huston. Unbelievable work that I am shocked they dismantled.

Breathtaking and realistic to the core.

One of my favorite layouts would have to be Jake Schultzs' coffee table layout that he did on his hometown in Minesota? I think it was. For those of you that havent seen pictures of it, he had the Milwaukee depot on one side of the tracks and the Soo Line? depot on the other side of the tracks. The way he wrapped the track around the outer perimeter out of site from the viewer it shows you how much you can do with N-scale in such a small space. It is truly a remarkable work of art. Jake is currently working on a Z-scale coffee table layout that he had premiered at PSX 2004 in Seattle.

For scenery, Lance Mindheim's winterish scenes are just spectacular.

MR's Clinchfield, Mike Danneman's Moffet Route, NTRAKs new River modules (including recent updates) and anything by Bernie.

But as much as I hate to admit it, my two favorites are (uuh) HO...

Eric Brooman's Utah Belt and The Tehachapi Pass mega layout at the SDMRM. (No reason these couldnt be done in N, right Bernie?)
