What are your favorite model railroad videos and why? Here are mine:
    1) GMR (Allen Keller's Great Model Railroads) #2, #24 (Sellios F&SM) Not only an awe-inspiring model railroad (world's best?), but great modeling tips too. Especialy the weathering tips for track, cars, and brick structures. I learned a lot from these, and plan on buying the third in the F&SM series, GMR #39 (which is now out).
    2) GMR #10 (Ried Brothers CVS) World's best N-scale layout? What can be done in N-scale? Truly amazing!!
    3) Pentrex "V&O Afton Division Finale". Highly interesting and enjoyable documentary of Allen McClelland's V&O before it was dismantled. Pentrex has great camera work taken from a railfan's perspective.
    4) Pentrex "Sierra Pacific Lines". Fun ride around the Pasadena Club's layout. It takes a full hour just watching the train travel from one end of the layout to the other!

All of these video are very inspiring and informative. Like having the great modelers in your home showing you how it's done. Please list your favorites! Pete

Geez Pete, I'd list my favorites, but you've already done that for me :D :D
Actually, several of the GMR series are awesome- I've also taped the first two seasons of Tracks Ahead, and got tapes of Lorell Joiner's Great Southern RR in Texas.
I'd like to see David Barrow's rebuilt Cat Mountain layout when he finishes...

Bob, is Dave Barrows redoing the whole Cat Mountain & Sante Fe? I know his layout has inspired many modelers.

I've heard from several other boards that Barrow was rebuilding his CM&SF. I know he went to the simple domino plans, tearing out the handlaid track (WHAT was he THINKING?!? ) and going back with code 100 flex. He models the Santa Fe as it was in the late 1970s in central Texas, and yes, he's inspired me, too.
But hey, the guy's an architect by trade, so he's gonna play with new designs- keeps the creative juices going.

Just a quick note: If you are into Railroad and/or Model Railroad videos check out CLEAR SIGNAL VIDEO, P O Box 418 SHARPSBURG MARYLAND 21782. They have ads in several railfan magazines. Clear Signal rents railfan and Model Railroad videos. They have thousands. I have been renting for over 6-7 years now and have never seen the same video twice. They have email and a website, but I don't have it handy at the moment. I have told them to sent me videos, and I get one about every two weeks. Write them for a catalog, tell them that MARK HEDGE refered you to them.
