I believe that GP38-2 #2667 (SBD), SD40 #4601 (SBD) and SD40 #4617 (C&O) are/were the last three CSX engines in predecessor paint. But have any of them been repainted?
As of 3 weeks ago, 4601 was on a MofW train in Folkston, GA. It was sitting in the house track. I was unable to get pics due to the shadows. Other than that, it has not been repainted. I dont think that it will be repainted either. I think that it is assigned to MofW service and more than likely will be retired in that paint scheme. When I dont know but I guesss time will tell.
I caught 4601 a couple of months ago in the SBD scheme and have heard that the other two units have not been repainted either. Harold
