Fair warning: A Vent Post!

    :angry: BAH-HUMBUG !!!

    Ok...so I sent my Digitrax throttle in for repair the last week of November. Today I get an email notice from Digitrax that there is some 'problem' with my debit card. OK...fixed that problem. The email was sent by Digitrax on Monday, December 22, 2014 9:26 AM. Logically that indicates they where planning to ship it back on Monday the 22nd. It doesnt take rocket science to figure that there is not a snowballs chance in Hades they coulda got that throttle here by Xmas even if they coulda sent out the 22nd !!!!!

    I have 8 of my grandkids coming in for Xmas. So now...no trains for me to run or let them run.

    Digitrax will be closed December 25th and re-open January 5th for the Christmas and News Years holidays.

    True...because as soon as that throttle makes it back to my house...its gonna be sold along with the whole Digitrax Super Empire Builder Xtra Set. I will be buying myself a NCE Powercab System. Granted...the cards didnt fall in my favor. My thought is that Digitrax coulda put in a bit more effort to get the throttle back to me before Xmas. Afterall...whats Xmas without TRAINS !!!

    I am probably more ticked at myself. I COULDA sent it in way back when it first broke in November and worried about the payment when it was reqdy to ship. Then when they contacted me about the debit card problem around the first of December...things woulda got squared away and I MIGHTA gotta that throttle back before Xmas.

    It's just the thought that there is NO WAY they coulda got it back here before Xmas or even before the months over for that matter shipping it the Dec 22nd !! :angry:

    That's kinda what I was reading in the first post. We all know those deadlines are coming and we all tend to procrastinate.

    We can't blame them for our mess ups, I'm glad to hear they are taking some time to be with their families too.

    Yup...I'm blaming both sides...just venting !! BUT...12 days off during the holidays....hmmmmmm.

    Its true....its only a HOBBY. Luckily there is more then one choice when it comes to anything in this hobby !! ;)

    Some of us keep spares of certain "mission critical" hardware items on hand just in case such a situation arises.
    I don't use DCC, but I keep an extra MRC power pack in reserve so that the show doesn't stop if one of those in regular use suddenly decides to quit working.

    Well, now this is exciting. A vent thread. Can I rant? How about Lament? No this is a darn vent thread. Ok, how about this I
    come into check in to what's happening on TrainBoard and I discover something has taken over my computer as though it's on a four second delay. There's tinkle music sounds coming through the audio and everything moves in slow motion. Let's see either I have to much momentum turned on and need to adjust my CV's or......we have a mystery to solve.

    Time to run a scan and after that's over check my settings. Ok, ran the scan and it came back every is good. And, I turned the computer off restarted it and we are working just fine.

    Sorry about the trouble George, but it isn't my place to apologize for something I didn't do. Have a good Christmas.

    Actually, the 22nd is the "order by" date for most companies to get your stuff by Christmas. I've had several items show up that were ordered over the weekend. They weren't Christmas items, just happened to need some stuff, so it didn't matter, but they are here. Despite the Christmas rush, all the shipping companies (including the USPS) have ramped up to get stuff delivered. I had USPS come by twice with packages on Monday, plus the normal mail delivery. They were also delivering on sunday.

    My heart and prayers go out to you and your family. I speak from first hand experience when I say, any death is tough to understand and accept at Christmas time. My Mother committed suicide on 12/14/1985, she had done all of her Christmas shopping and wrapped all gifts and had them sitting on top of her baby grand piano for distribution, went to bed and took an overdose of her meds and valium. Christmas has not really been the same for me since. Christmas Bah, Humbug.

    Lou, all I can say is that things do get better, I just hope is quick and complete for you.

    To twist the knife....Digitrax in Panama Florida told me that UPS in their area is NOT working Xmas Eve....and laughed !!!!!!

    They wont be able to even ship the throtlle until they get back Jan 5th !!!!!

    Does UPS NOT working Xmas eve sound a little strange to anyone else ????????:question:
