An excursion across the Mighty Mississip' last week from Minnesota to Prescott, Wisconsin. Photo by "Susan," whom I recruited to use my still camera while I was videotaping. Good job, Susan. ;)

Back before they started rebuilding it, the Hill Country Flyer outside Austin, Texas used this old T&NO Mikado for power.

Once they get a new steam cylinder saddle welded up and everything put back together, she should be making this run again.

Russel, good stuff there. Nice SP steamer and I think I recognize that Alco diseasel. That's a great operation. [IMG]
I have put all the scanned pix from Minnesota on my website. Click on it in my signature if interested. [IMG]

Sorry for the poor quality photo but here is a shot of the power on the Big South Fork Senic Railway in Stearns KY. This shot was taken April 15, 1989

No such thing as a "poor quality photo" when it comes to Railfanning, you were just a bit under powered is all. [IMG]

I guess since the AOE has come up, then this would be an excursion engine too. :D
If you look at the refection in the glass over the headlight you can see the outline of the end of the ex NYC observation car, Sandy Creek (now AOE New York).
