Here's a link to some evening time photos taken on my 0n30 layout. Paul http://www.paultemplar.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk./0n30layout/evening.htm
Very nice Paul, I like the way you did your lighting and the light on the pole looks really great. Good job again!
Paul, excellent indeed! I always feel as if I become a part of the scene when I look at your photos! Happy railroading! Russ
Paul, just when I think your modeling and photos absolutely cannot get any better, you out do yourself time and time again. Can't wait for the next photos. Excellent modeling and photos, thanks for posting them Willis
paul, your photos have an effect on me, they evoke emotion, like im actually there, within the scene, and can actually see, feel, and hear the workers working, and the trains moving. they are truely an inspiration as to what can really be done. i especially love all the scratchbuilding/kitbashing you have done, specifically the houses on rails. good job man!
Paul Do you have the dimensions of the buildings in the second photo? Or the whynch apparatus on two logs in the last photo? Doesn't matter what scale they are in. Eric
Paul...nice camera work man.... That new camera is really showing its capabilities, along with the guy hanging onto it. When I read the heading I didnt think it would be nearly as good as it came out. Just shows I should think about who posted it :>) Great shots man!
Many many thanks my good friends. Means a lot. --------------------------------- HO modeller, those camp cars are 6-1/2" long by 3" wide and 3-1/2" tall. The Donkey engine in the last photo was scratchbuilt. Paul
Paul, I always enjoy your photos. Awesome modeling. What did you do to create the miniature lights? I would like to do some of the same thing on the S Scale layout I am planning.
Hi Don, They were all grain of wheat bulbs, I just cut the wires back to 1/2" and added my own very thin brown wires and attached it to the telegraph poles. For the structures, just the grain of wheat bulbs placed inside making sure no light was visible under the buildings. Paul
Did you make the telegraph poles yourself Paul? I notice on a lot of very good layouts that the light poles are never quite right, seeming to be too big or bulky in some respects...height is usually right, but overall bulk of the poles or light fitting always seems too big. Yours look pretty well right on. I also notice a lot of people arent too good at getting the base flat on the ground. Yours are much better.
Hi, Many thanks -- yes I scratchbuilt them from 3/16" hardwood dowel and stained them with an ink wash. Shamus
