I too have been dreaming of making a Southern Pacific SD45T2. I have the ability to produce a short run of tunnel motor screens created in photo etched brass. We will be releasing them in two weeks. The estimated cost of these grills is expected to be between four and five dollars for two pair, enough to complete two locomotives. To reserve your set please call, e-mail, or write to us at the address below. Bill Walker Nu-Line Structures, Inc 417-B W. Thanks, Don! I've been looking for some of these! A-1 used to make them but I'm not sure what's become of them. I have 3 Wolfworks SD40T-2 shells that I need to outfit now and a couple more for the JnJ SD45T-2s that are almost ready. Let's face it....a T-motor is just not right without see-thru screens! Yeah, half will be obscured by the frame....but half won't! Russ
These parts should be available by April 15th or so. You won't need to cash your IRS refund check to buy them. MSRP is $4.95 per package of 4 screens, which will do two locos. Shipping is $1.50 in the USA. Available (for now) only directly from Nu Line. Contact info listed above. ========= eNjoy
