Hello everyone. Well in my post about the Zimo decoders I shown how I can have head end, mid train helpers and rear end pushers.

Well after spending several hours getting my LokProgrammer setup and working, I know see how I can do the same thing with ESU decoders.

ESU approaches trim a bit differently, they deal in time explicitly.

So here we can dial the Acceleration and Deceleration in terms of time.

So given what we see here, the head end locomotives will have a 7 second delay to full speed, the mid-train helpers would have a 14 seconds delay to full speed and the rear train pushers would have 21 seconds.

The deceleration would just be the settings in reverse, shorter on the rear helpers and longer on the head end units with the mid-train helpers somewhere in between.

With all locomotives speed matched and using the same speed table, this should would work out pretty good. I have not tested it yet, but I do see it as a possible working situation.

I need a few more locomotives with ESU decoders to really test this.
