I think mine was a bad diode, allowing current to pass when it should have been blocked; it fried one of my TCS decoders, but TCS (also great customer service!) replaced it for free under their "no questions asked" warranty.

I've got a complete Hiawatha set from FVM, too. God knows why - it's more than a bit out of place on my 1957 NKP layout. But I just couldn't resist, particularly since this is exactly the kind of "special" effort that deserves support from the modeling community. FVM is a treasure for us, and my own view is that we should do all we can within our individual means to support Matt's efforts.

I broke/lost some of the details that came with my Conrail unit and Matt sent me a new packet no questions asked. Even paid for the shipping. Keep it up FVM!
