Hi, everyone. You might have seen me in the G scale section, my time is pretty much dedicated there. I model after the Rio Grande Railroad so I figured I would start a photo album right here on train board of all of the Rio Grande pictures in my photo collection. Right now there are almost 300 pictures loaded up, but I have about another 300 to go, so check back in on it once in a while. All photos in this album are non copyrighted photos, I would love to post the copyrighted ones, buy need permission to do so. But right now you can check out my Rio Grande Western photo album right here > deleted

Thanx alot for viewing - comments appreciated

I would like to thank everyone for the nice comments. I still have alot more to share. I plan on opening up another photo album just for Rio Grande rolling stock soon, that way I can keep the locomotives, cabooses, and MOW equipment seperate from the rolling stock equipment. This way people won't have to thunb thru a ton of rolling stock pictures to see locomotives and cabooses. Of course I will do this when I have time away from my G scale threads that I like to keep up on.

Great photos there. This is a treasure for the D&RGW people out there. Thanks for sharing
I rode the Rio Grande Zephyr in May of 1975. A great train trip with an excellent crew and service. The scenery east of Glenwood Springs is fantastic.
The train had the three F9's, Combine, Dome Coaches Silver Bronco & Silver Mustang, Diner Silver Banquet, Dome Obs Silver Sky. The bedrooms had been removed from the Silver Sky and the area converted to lounge space.
The return to Salt Lake from Denver the Silver Bronco had been replaced by the Silver Aspen a flat top coach that was once a 14 section Pullman.
Again Thanks for stiring the memories.

    Copyrighted Photos

Don't want to be the spoiler, however:
A large majority of the photos included in this album were taken and/or copyrighted by the following:

    ND Holmes (drgw.net)
    Railblazer
    Chuck Conway
    John Carr (carrtracks.com)
    George Elwood (rr-fallenflags.org)

Also my understanding that any photos posted in a personal railimages album are the work of the individual posting the photo, unless otherwise noted, and are the property of that individual. I happen to be one such photographer.

EMD, you might want to start referencing photographers and their permission before you get in a world of problems.

Due to the technical suject matter here within and the photos in question did not have any copy right names on them in my album, I unfortunately just deleted my entire Rio Grande photo album from this board. Since how I traded pictures in the past with people from other boards, I sure didn't know what is copy right and what is not if it isn't marked in the photo. To defuse any and all questions in the subject of whether a photo is copyrighted, especially if there is no name on it. My appologies to any and all involved if I offended anyone. Therefore any and all Rio Grande pictures I have in my collection, I will not post without specific permission. I will continue to concentrate in my G scale area instead. I did however mention in the begining part of my Rio Grande photo album in the editorial that the pictures were not my own in all fairness to me. I do have a G scale photo album which is my own and is based on Rio Grande, all are welcome there.

Well I'm sorry I missed the collection, but if the other sites listed are correct then I probably have seen them anyway.

The International 'law' of Copyright is very basic in it's use- when anything is 'created' or nowadays 'published' it is automatically the copyright of the creator. Unless the creator sells or assigns, or works for, some other person/ entity.

Nothing has to have a label on it. Period. It is by virtue of being, copyright. Whether anyone wishes to enforce their power by courts is another matter. Public domain (by will, deed or common use) and 'freeware' are not automatic, but declared states of being for anything from art to software.

Best err on the side of safety and keep any photos for 'private use' and you'll never run foul of the law. Now in the litigious empires around the world, attempting to sell or make profit from others work may and can lead to a whole heap of trouble. Video, film and music as well as software pirates are finding out. As are clone and luxury goods counterfeiters.

But if you have a clone D&RGW I'd love to see models of it!

EMD Trainman to open up a Rio Grande album again

Hi every one, I will be opening up another photo album. This time I will be opening a Rio Grande photo album with Rail Balzer pictures only and have full permission from Mike at http://trainweb.org/railblazer/ . Any of those who may have concerns about me having the proper permission from Mike can contact him at his site. I would like to thank Mike at Rail Blazer for allowing me to post his photos on this board and as far as I know I'm the only one who has permission to do this so please don't ruin it for everyone else and repost the pictures after I do. I also wish to thank HemiAdda2d for help and support in this copyright matter who also put me in contact with Mike from Rail Blazer.
