Caught a trio of trains...actually saw almost twice as many...but couldn't get into position in time to take a decent shot...so here are a few from this morning...

They are all on the Cima sub..of the UP (The old LA&SL)...first one shot at mp308, the west end of CP Erie

Next two are just north of Jean, NV...The first is a rather short and fast stacker I've seen alot on this route...its only 15 cars in length..

Last is of another stacktrain...this time heading west, eventually heading to the ports of Southern California

Excellent pics I'm wondering how profitable the train with only 15 cars is going to be.

They run quite a few of them Paul, must be one dedicated shipper? In fact one of the trains I missed...was another short/fast one...as I call them but going the other direction (west) towards California.

Seems like a Rio Grande mindset--short-fast-trains....
    :D
