Like all railroad mogules, my Grandfather wanted a lodge with a view of his railroad. He chose Purgatory Peak in the Rockies for this log structure. He called it Eagles Roost. Today, it serves as a vacation spot for rail fanners and rock climbers.

Rock climbers trying to reach the peak. Cold work.

I recall seeing photos of Eagles Nest on John Allen's famous HO layout. But I don't recall seeing anyone doing rock climbers before today. Nice touch!

Nicely done Robin, I like the 'humans' in the area, it adds a realistic touch.
    LOL
