At this point I believe we are fully reserved so this is not a sales pitch but we did want to share these photos with you. I have not seen these in person myself yet. Our staff took the photos and uploaded them but I understand these units are extremely well done.

As always I encourage you to visit our website for the complete details. The address is:

Glad I'm not modeling that era. Those look very nice. I'm partial to the D&H one, as that's the closest RR to me that used them. Great to have some different power for us modelers now.

Very nice! I have both NYC Lightning Stripe sets on order - am looking forward to seeing them. But it looks like they used truck-mounted Rapido couplers! Why? Especially when I understand these are supposed to be DCC ready.

Observed two of the sharks in demonstrator colors negotiate n Ntrak setup. Ran very well at least comparable to the newer LifeLike FA1's. The free standing grabs may be a first for factory models. Very nice offering for first generation modelers especially anyone who models the Pennsy.

According to the BLW website the Pennsy five stripe scheme woun't be released until summer of 2002 while thge single broad stripe will be released mid october 2001. Don't know why the long delay but I would imagine the five stripe scheme would be more desired than the single stripe. Anyone know why the long delay?

Ahhhhh, some excellent questions from my good friend Inkaneer. OK, here are the answers you seek. The Pennsy single stripes are actually en route to us as I write this and we expect to start shipping them to our customers next week. The New York Central Cigar Bands are also in the same shipment.

The others will be released in due time but are due to arrive before summer 2002 as far as we were told. I will maintain my professionalism and refrain from commenting on accuracy issues with the BLW website since that outfit a competing dealer.

Lastly, the issue of not releasing all of the road names at once had to due with economics. Again, I really can't comment any further on that except to say that many of our customers ordered "very healthy" quantities of these units and they were actually delighted to learn that they don't have to pay for them all at once however the customers that only ordered one or two roads are understandibly upset that the roads they selected weren't released first.

During the 18 months or so since the Sharks were announced E-R Models changed a considerable amount of details regarding the offering. At first the Sharks were supposed to made in Austria by Roco and there were only going to be A units with B units made as a follow up offering. Then they changed their minds and decided to have them made in China and offer A+A/B sets along with single A units. Then they scraped the idea of offering single A units and finally at the very last minute they informed us that the roads will "trikle" in a few a time.

This was a real pain in the (you know what) and very costly to us as well because everytime they made a change we had to contact several hundred customers who placed reservations for them so they could change/update their reservations based on the new information. We are very happy to see these models finally show up no matter how they deliver them. We really do believe that E-R Model Importers did an outstanding job on the Sharks but in the future we hope they can be more decisive about the details of any future projects before they give us dealers the go ahead to start taking reservations. OK its ER's first locomotive release. From what I observed from an AB set in demonstrator colors they did a fine job in both details and operation. I would have preferred the Pennsy 5 stripers as I think that paint scheme is more esthically pleasing than the single stripe but I got two Deluxe Innovations shark shells and two FA2 mechanisms that will fill in.

Individual grabirons and a combined low speed switching and scale speed! Except for those truck mounted Rapidos, I think this is an almost perfect model. I think N scale is starting to really take shape.
