    Hi!
I am new to this room, but I frequent the N scale and BNSF forums. I would like to know if Soo Line is the same as CP Rail? I live in Minot, ND, and see lots of CP Rail trains, and an occasional grain train hauled by a pair of Soo Line locos. Are they the same railroad?

Yup,The SOO is owned lock, stock and barrell by the Canadian Pacific. By the way the only dumb question is the one you don't ask. :D

The CP owned the whole Soo Line for many years yet allowed it to operate as a seperate entity and maintain it's own identitiy. Then a few years ago, CP decided to fully merge the Soo Line into CP and started repainting equipment as CP. The Soo Line image is not long to this world - exept on our model rails that is :(

Check out the Minneapolis, St. Paul & Sault Ste. Marie Railway Company forum under "Fallen Flags" for more Soo Line at Trainboard.

Let me know when they repaint the SOO SD60's into CP colours. I have four N Scale 60's in Soo colours and would prefer them in CP.
