I received a deralict Bachmann coach today from the Bay place. At first I thought to convert it to one of the C & S observation cars BUT it would be easier to paint brown and label as a UPD & G coach or even a DL & G coach. One snag to this plan is the roof. Has anyone here converted a Bachmann roof to the older duckbill style? Is there a premade duckbill style roof being made by anyone? Thanks, John

Oh boy...I hope THAT is not true I have seen duckbill end pieces for roof conversion in G scale but can't find the same in O. Also have seen some cool wood roofing in standard O but not On30. Yikes...this one will indeed be a challenge and as such it is now the route the car is headed instead of the easier to make observation car. John

Well if it does it is hidden in "internet world" as I have cruised a bunch of sites looking for it. I am thinking of using wood blocks and carving the end pieces to match the existing roof after cuting the ends off. J
