    I was watching the learning channel, they were talking locomotives again. The CP was the star of the part about modern locomotives, on the cab, under the windows, they had the intials DRF or DRFW 4400. what they mean??

    DRF stands for Diesel Road Freight (locomotive)
    the 'w' would be the ordering batch that the unit came in ( 23rd letter in the alphabet)
    and 4400 is the horsepower rating of the unit. In this case it would have appeared on a GE AC4400
