    Hey Guys,

Im to the point on my layout Im ready to mount my tortise switch machines. Im going to wire them with DPDT switches and 1 power supply instead of useing SPDT switches and 2 power supplys.

    2 questions.

1: Can I use standard DPDT toggles the same ones used for 120vac 20amp home use or do I have to use the Micro DPDTs 5amp rating?

The Standard 120v use screw in terminals so wireing would be much easier, the micros of course require solder.

2: Can someone point me to a place or explain to me how to wire in LEDs at the panel and at the turnout so I know which way the pionts are facing. Kinda green for open red for shut kinda thing.

    Thanks in advance.

I actually used 120V 10A on-off toggles for my power districts. Mainly because I was running #14AWG copper wire and didn't want to reduce to use mini's. I know it was overkill to some extent, but I am very happy w/ the results. I did use mini-switches/soldered for all of my turnouts and relays.

    Good luck!
