    HEY!!!!!!! JK

Concor emailed back saying it's true and they'll wait and see how the HO version sells first then maybe they'll make the N version. :)

I'm still waiting for the "great new low price" version..... I will admit that the later dual headlight version would be of greater interest for my era.

    Whatever.

    How about this...

"This is a special model at a premium price that sold out on the first runs in n-scale and we will absolutely be doing an n-scale run once the HO run is completed".

Yea Babe, I just emailed them asking if they are going to do an N Scale model. I haven't heard from them yet but it looks like you have. Hope they sell all the HO Models soon.

    Con-Cor's Great PR Machine

I was actually being facetious. I get sick of the "yeah we'll see how HO does" CRAP. If you sell something in N, and we buy ALL of them, then how does that correlate to HO?

This would be like the GM-era EMD telling the railroads "yeah, we have this new SD70 loco but we're gonna see how the sales of our diesel pickups do first, that should tell us what sales will be like."

Oh shucks, there I was getting my hopes up. However, I do think the HO's will sell out and they will eventually make this run in N Scale.

You got my hopes up too.. How can we link this to the HO forum? That way they can see it and buy them up. :)

I wish they would say we'll wait till the HO PZ sell out because it'll pay for the molds for the N-scale version.

Cool I got a second email from Concor. It says the N-scale verison will follow the HO version by 3-4 months. Summer of next year. This is from Concor. Not a joke. I think they got to many emails about the N-scale version... I'm happy about this. Let them know if you're interested in it. I did. :)

I received an email form Con-Cor yesterday stating the same thing they told you. Looks like I will have to start saving my pennies.

Seams neat, will I buy another? not just for a double headlight and tail light. unless the price is much much lower. I have kato 6 car bullet trains that I paid only $130 for. IMO these Pioneer Zephyrs should be more like $160-$180.

If you really wanted one, making a little extension and adding a couple lights would not be a big deal. hardest thing might be to match the paint. use a DCC decoder with sound to finish it off including the mars light.

The new Walthers N Scale Catalog does show the N Scale version of the updated Pioneer Zephyr.

I think that the vast price difference in these CC vs. Kato passenger sets is largely a result of an economy of scale. I'd bet that Kato's production runs are in the thousands vs. CC's probably being a few hundred. What DOES bother me is the $139.00 single car add-on. Especially since by the time the second headlight was added, it was already a 4-car train. (Someone correct me if I'm wrong) I wish they would just make it one set and knock a little $ off the total.

The blinking blue/white LED "mars" light in the video is pretty lame too. That will have to be fixed by a Richmond Controls unit or DCC.

I had one of the first run and sold it, then regretted it. I'm glad it looks like they're going to do these in N. There's no question that they are really nice in both looks and operation. I'll sure be getting one.

Hmmm, from the emails that people have received from Con-Cor, it seem that they were going to wait and see how the sales of the HO version sold before they decided to make any in N Scale. However, since the updated version is in the new Walthers N Scale Catalog, that decision had to be made quite some time ago.
