Applying power lights come on but nothing moves. I opened up the shell and if I pressed on the gold cylinder at the rear of the frame, near the motor, the loco would move, very slowly for about an inch, then stop. History, bought new back around 2008 or 09, I think this is a first run GS locomotive. It is set up for DC. I ran it multiple times when new, and it ran like a champ with no issues. Due to living overseas for a few years it has been in climate controlled storage, and this is the first time I’ve tried to run it in a few years.
Check to make sure the two drawbars from the tender are connected properly. They have a way of working themselves out, especially the top one.
