Hello, ( New to the board )
I am in the process of stating back up in model railroading and have always loved the looks of narrow guage. I am in the process of trying to figure out a layout in a spare garage. I can start with a 12X10 area. I have over the years collected several NG locomotives and cars. Additionally, I have purchased a Lenz DC system. I am now having second thought because I have heard HOn3 does not run well it's too small etc etc. Am I setting myself up for disappointment Any comments would be appreciated. Thanks Lee

Hello Lee, hope you enjoy the forum. H0n3 runs well if the equipment is of good quality, [good locomotives, can motors ], and cars have proper weighting, good wheelsets & couplers, and is running on well laid track...no bumps, kinks, out-of-gauge or other problems.
Bullet-proof turnouts. Whether the track is commercial flextrack or hand laid, the equipment is less 'forgiving' of track errors than H0 standard, or N standard gauges.
I know nothing of DCC, so others will need to respond regarding what it's like to install decoders in these small engines.
Merry Christmas and good luck... ( that 10' x 12' would suit a lot of H0 narrow gaugers as a final size !) / Mike
