I was thinking of doing a patch job on a green/yellow Kato BCRail SD40 and wondering if CP had ever bought any of the older BCRail equipment. I'm planning to leave it in the old paint with patched lettering, but would like to at least get a number correct. Any ideas?
IIRC some former BC Rail SD40-2s were leased by CP Rail a few years back. Don't think any of the 2nd hand SD40-2 units came from BC Rail. They did buy units from QNS&L, KCS, UP/MP and NS/SR (high hoods) and ran them in patched paint. http://www.niagararails.com/cp5400.shtml
