The line I run reugulatly has several tunnels with signals outside of them. I had to walk one tunnel one night because I had an engineer get bug upmhis butt because the signal Was red and we were had a restricted proceed. He didn't want to get stuck inside the tunnel on a broken rail or something so he wanted to make sure the tunnel was clear. He got to walk it with me that night.
