MILW DL-109 and later era smoothsides

    Hello--

    I am a neophyte when it comes to Milwaukee. So, I thought I would ask the experts. Does anyone know if the DL-109s (in the Hiawatha paint scheme) ever pulled later generation Milwaukee smoothsides in their yellow and gray paint scheme?

    From what I heard on the Milw Yahoo group,they probably didn't but they could have.I wouldn't let that from preventing you from running the Milwaukee cars in UP yellow with your DL 109's.

    No. They did not. Those units were old, and had been downgraded well before that newer paint scheme.
