Sounds like a great run--I have no ide how long it takes round trip, but I'm betting the track is slow-running, under 30MPH, methinks.

Anyone know first-hand? Is it worth the 90 bucks a seat?

I've never met a train whose ride was not worth it.
This one has been on my list for several years.
Unfortunately their season is so short that it is hard to schedule anything that agrees with our travel schedule.

Yes, have indeed ridden this train!
An interesting trip. Takes a couple hours round trip.
Which includes the stop in the middle of nowhere so that preboarding photos can be delivered and passed out.

Food wasn't bad, from what I recall, despite it being 5-6 years since I've ridden.

A single GP and 3-4 ex RDC style cars. Have photos somewhere, I think.
Will have to see if they can be found scannd and posted.

Royal Gorge is another one I want to ride! Dinner and a cab ride!

OK, You have my attention. Keith, the end of the line before returning to Lewistown is Geraldine. It's the 'end of track' on the old North Montana Line from Harlowton-Great Falls-Agawam That line I hiked with the tunnels and all is just about 20 miles or so from Geraldine.

George, they indeed have a short season. Here's a few pics I found of the area:
