Came down to the layout after dinner to run a train, log on to the 'puter, and just chill. In the process of turning on my system... the trains will NOT run!!!! I did the following that I always do: 1.) Turned on the 120V source. 2.) Flipped my DB150 from "Offline" to "Run" mode. 3.) Selected "Power, YES+, Power" from my controller....... Then nothing! Nadda!? Zippo?? the big Goose-egg. I then reset the power and went through the same routine. NOTHING. So I shut it down, checked all the engines on the track and all are on line OKAY. Checked all the switches and I have no shorting conditions. Checked my wiring...and Okay! The Super Empire just won't run. Any suggestions before I send a "nasty gram" to Digitrax????? This is SO frustrating. I WANT to see trains run! NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Don't know much about DCC but sometimes to get things completely reset you need to UNPLUG everything first. Sometimes this is what is needed to RESET a internal breaker in some pieces of equipment.
Press and hold the STOP Key followed by the N- Key. Put booster back into sleep mode. Place booster back in run mode then press the Stop key plus the Y+ key again. I have had this happen to me and this is what I did to get it running.
Did that work??? I know I still have to refer to my book a lot of the time becasue I don't use my Super Chief often enough to remember everything. Harold
UP-Phil. I think that did the trick. After my post, we went out of town for a few days... got back a couple of hours ago. Went down to the layout, checked all the wiring, made sure the system power was "ON" at my panel, booted up the Digitrax System and did as you suggested. Bingorama! There be trains running! Thanks!
