I currently have 2 Kato Locos w/Digitrax 123 decoders. I cant get the light functions to work properly. I would like to have all lights operating but dim in the opposite direction of travel. No problem with my TCS decoders to perform this task. Any CV set help would be appreciated.

Not sure, but this may be what you are looking for

I believe that you are trying to use
Rule 17 dimmable headlight, dim when F4 is active or locomotive direction is opposite normal direction of travel (NDOT)
DecoderPro is a big help when doing this type of decoder programing.

All worked well except for the lights on BLI w/Digitrax decoder and Atlas MP15-1 w/Bachman decoder.

Is the BLI a Blueline that comes with a sound decoder but not a motor decoder? If so, the headlights default to operating off of the sound decoder. To have headlight dimming, you will have to have them operate off of the motor decoder by moving the plug from J1 to J7 on the lightboard(Page 9-10 of the BlueLineDiesel Operator's manual).

If I am reading the datasheet for the Bachmann decoders right, they do not support dimming like what you want(all you can do is dim whichever headlight is on).

OOh, I see. The lights are responding to the sound. Probably more prototypical for the era of RSD15. Did they utilize Rule 17 back then? Oh well a decision to make.

    Thanks
