RI did any of the sd40-2s make it into the blue and white paint?

    title says it all i was wondering if any got painted like this even just one. If not did they have any plans to repaint them in the near future (like a year or 2 at the most in the future) if money was available?

    All the 40' s lived their lives in the one scheme.RITS has some info on a modified black and blue scheme that was supposed to have been used in the future. Blue where the white was and not that Robins egg style either.And then black where the blue was. It looks sharp and I do believe there is some artist rendering.

    Forgot to mention this was to be a replacement of the blue and white for all units, not just the 40's

    LOL too true Kurt! But it would have been fitting if they could have been a MidWest Conrail ( AMAZING all that redundant railroad still working today! I thought... never mind I am still just bitter)and made it out of all of the problems they faced.
