I have a couple 1:29 diesels that I want to detail, and wondering who might make some good detail parts for this scale? Looking for horns, snow plows, MU hoses, scale couplers, etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Mike
Hi Mike- Ozark Miniatures may have what you're looking for. I've got some diesels myself that need parts, was halfway debating on making them myself or doing a combination of both off-the-shelf and home made. My primary scale is "N" so my big guys often take a back seat to whatever I'm doing in the smaller scale.. :/ Hope that resource is a good start for you... Best Regards! -Mike
Mike There should be a few Miniatures by Eric parts around. Check out a few train shops. Eric made a large variety of modern items in 1/29th scale. Horns, bells, brake wheels, antennas etc. I used them exclusively but he has decided not to redo them and now concentrates on smaller scale items. I found that Ozark has focused on early steam parts but there may be diesel items in their catalogue. Dave at www.wvrr.ca
Mike and Dave, Thanks... Greatly appreciate your suggestions. I wasn't aware of Ozark Miniatures at all, and didn't realized Miniatures by Eric had produced some 1:29 scale parts. Although not as large of a market as the smaller scales, seems like a gap in larger scale market. Again thanks! Mike
