Good news indeed. The Sandpoint Roadswitchers were going on duty here but BNSF was trying to move them across town to the old GN depot. I will try and find out if that happened. In the BNSF crew side of the depot there was a BN map on they wall from the early 70's. I hope it gets saved. There was also old train order box's and lots of old paper work in the drawers.

This is where historic preservation law is at its best. Clearly the construction folk have followed all of the rules i.e. having someone like me come in ahead of the project to assess the structure and potential project impact...that is why the court basically threw out the case. Great news indeed!

It upsets me a lot, when the "anti-" whatever crowd tries to use something such as that depot to aid their cause. It tends to taint legitimate efforts by true preservationists.

I should not of said train orders, accuatly I am not sure what it was but it was a green box about 4 feet wide, 2 feet tall and full of individual cubby holes full of slips of paper, each slip of paper has a freight car number on it and a description of what was in it. Also there are drawers full of claim reports about livestock that was hit and I got a book of blank BN track warrents.
